Bulgaria's Globul Owner Appoints New CEO

Greece?s OTE has appointed Michael Tsamaz as new chairman and chief executive, the company said in a statement.

"Michael Tsamaz was selected as new chief executive and chairman...[following the agreement] between Deutsche Telekom and the Greek state," the statement said.

Tsamaz, 50, has been head of OTE?s mobile phone arm, Cosmote, since 2007 and is expected to take office on November 3.

Bulgaria's second-biggest mobile operator Globul is a unit of Greek Cosmote.
