Bulgarian pilots Todor Slavov and Dobromir Filipov have won third place in the overall ranking of the Junior World Rally Championship (J-WRC).

This is the first time ever a Bulgarian team grabs a medal from FIA's World Rally Championship final ranking.

Slavov and Filipov's overall success came after on Sunday they won second place in the Catalonia Rally in Spain.

They ended 14th in the general ranking of Rally Spain, which is also the greatest success ever achieved by a Bulgarian team in the WRC.

The Bulbet Rally Team took part in five contests from the J-WRC in 2010. In Turkey they ended 4th, in Bulgaria – 3rd, in Germany – 7th, and in France – 6th.

Before the rally in Spain, the Bulgarian team was fifth in the general ranking, and any spot in the first four in Catalonia would have given them the bronze medals.

This year's edition of the J-WRC is its last; as of 2011, FIA will organized a WRC Academy for pilots under 25 with the same cars from the R2 category.
