Obama, Bush, Palin Found to Be Cousins

US President Barack Obama is related to former US President George W Bush and the Governor of Alaska, Sarah Palin, according to a report by Ancestry.com.

Apparently, Obama and Palin are 10th cousins through common ancestor John Smith, while the presidents are 11th cousins through common ancestor Samuel Hinckley.

Palin and Bush are also 11th cousins, related through Hinckley. Apparently leadership runs in the family since Hinckley's son, Thomas, went on to become governor of Plymouth County, Massachusetts, USA Today has reported.

Genealogists at Ancestry.com analyze family trees of people who have the same family names and who have lived in the same place at the same time.

In 2009. the website discovered that Obama was 7th cousins three times removed with billionaire Warren Buffett and 9th cousin with actor Brad Pitt.
