Earthquake Rattles Bulgaria's Varna

An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.4 on the Richter scale has shaken Northeastern Bulgaria.

The epicenter of the earthquake was near the town of Provadia, 34 km west of Varna, 320 km east of Sofia, at a depth of 7.8 km, according to the Bulgarian National Seismological Data Center.

The quake hit at 10:51 pm Eastern European Time, and was felt tangibly in the Black Sea city Varna. No damages or casualties have been reported.
