US Discovery Communication company launches in Bulgaria on October 1 its new channel TLC, which will emphasize on modern women's lives – everything from food, family, and fashion to travel, health and life events.

The Bulgarian launch is part of Discovery's drive to expand TLC to new territories, including Poland, Serbia, Slovenia.

"Expanding the reach of TLC in these high-growth European markets is an important milestone in our global roll-out of the channel," said Mark Hollinger, president and CEO of
Discovery Networks Int'l.

The new channel will be the local versions of the American program. Until now Discovery Channel, which is part of Discovery Communication company, was available in Bulgaria on digital satellite platforms. It was displayed with Bulgarian subtitles since 2000-2001.

Along with the launching of the channels, the international company will give more opportunity for the Bulgarian advertisers.
