Levski Mauled in Lisbon, CSKA Loses in Sofia

PFC Levski Sofia suffered a humiliating 5:0 defeat in Lisbon Thursday evening after it was brushed aside by Sporting Clube de Portugal, which stormed to the top of UEFA Europa League Group C.

The five goals were scored by Daniel Carrico, Maniche, Diogo Salomao, Postiga and Matias Fernandez.

Sporting go into a double-header with KAA Gent three points clear of Levski, who will attempt to bounce back against LOSC Lille M?tropole.

Meanwhile Bulgarian top football team CSKA Sofia met former European champions Porto in the group stage of the Europa League. Porto won 1-0 away to Bulgarian side CSKA Sofia to maintain their 100% start to their group campaign. Falcao scored the only goal to give his side two wins from two in Group L.

CSKA Sofia have been given tough draw and they are in Group L with Porto, Besiktas and Rapid Vienna, while Levski is joined in Group C by Sporting Lisbon, Lille and Gent.
