Bulgaria's PM Boyko Borisov opened a new training hall at the unfinished multifunctional sports complex in Sofia and promised that the state will fund the construction of similar halls in other cities.

The event was attended by the mayor of Sofia, Yordanka Fandakova, the Defense Minister Anyu Angelov, the Sports Minister Svilen Neykov and other officials.

"This hall has 25% more area than the Universiada Hall. The price for the construction was less than BGN 4 M. I hope that in the next years we will be able to build such facilities in other cities that do not have sports halls. We will give them to the municipalities for free," Borisov said.

He has explained that the construction of the new sports complex in Sofia is advancing every month and that it will be ready by June 2011.

The training hall was finished nine months earlier and it can already be used.

On Tuesday, the hall was sanctified by the bishop of Znepoliya, John, followed by the first demonstrative basketball game between the junior teams of "Buba" and "Overgaz."
