The Bulgarian hit TV series "Staklen Dom" (Glass Home) hype is gaining popularity in the US Capital, after Ambassador, James Warlick, sent a copy of it to Washington DC.

The Bulgarian daily "24 Chassa" (24 Hours) reports Warlick's team both in Bulgaria and at home began studying the Bulgarian language by repeating scenes from the series while the Deputy Consul had made a remarkable progress in the last three months, and even founded a "Glass Home" fan club in the US.

Last Friday, the US Embassy held another party for the cast and the crew in the occasion of the premiere of the series' second season on bTV, titled "Time for Truth."

The American diplomats say the dynamic and interesting plot marks a new era in the Bulgarian TV production and makes Bulgaria a top TV series maker.

The series are deemed the most successful Bulgarian-made ones so far while the outcome of the love triangle between Boryana and father and son – Kamen and Dimitar Kasabovi is the highly anticipated moment by viewers.

For the first time a production of the type stirs such huge interest not only locally but abroad as well. After the news the first season broadcasting rights have been sold to a Turkish TV channel, while days ago one of the largest international betting sites – Unibet - launched a game where people can bet on the future of the main characters.

The US Ambassador to Bulgaria, James Warlick, who is known to be a huge fan of the hit series and on his own request, received a part in the second season.
