The Bulgarian police from the northern city of Shumen have arrested three more men in connection to the murder of the businessman Rumen Rachev.

The 46-year-old Yordan Kolev aka Dancho Salmanskiya was arrested Thursday morning over suspicions for connection to "The Killers" gang, which is believed to be behind Rachev's assassination. Kolev has been previously connected to the another crime group.

Two more men from Shumen were arrested but the police have not disclosed their names. They have been detained for 24 hours. The Prosecutor's Office is expected to raise charges against them.

On Wednesday, the police arrested Petar Stoyanov aka the Chieftain, Radoslav Dimitrov and Petar Atmadzhov from the city of Veliko Tarnovo, all in connection to "The Killers".

On Thursday, after spending several hours in the hospital in Shumen, the Chieftain, was brought back in jail. He was accepted in the ER with chest pains. The results of the tests, however, showed only a slightly increased blood pressure, for which doctors prescribed him pills.

"The Killers" gang is believed to be behind several assassinations around the country, including the murder of controversial football club president Yuriy Galev in June and businessman Rumen Rachev at the beginning of July last year.

Rachev was murdered in Shumen on July 3, 2009, in broad daylight while entering his SUV.

Over the weekend police arrested for the second time the President of the Bulgarian Sumo Federation, Petar Stoyanov aka the Chieftain, over the murder of businessman Rumen Rachev last summer in the northern city of Shumen.
