The statement has been made by the Finance Minister Simeon Djqnkov in a letter to the head of the Bulgarian Doctors' Union, Tsvetan Raychinov, who announced earlier that the doctors are mulling over a protest against the government over cuts in the hospital funding.
The additional sum has been compared to the average expenses per month, declared by the hospitals.
The expense part of the budget of the National Health Insurance Fund (NZOK) will have to be increased by BGN 65 M until the end of the year.
The accounts of the hospitals, as well as the unpaid BGN 125 M from the fund to the hospitals, will be taken into consideration during the preparation of the budget of the fund for next year.
Until the end of the first quarter of 2011, the sums will be paid to all the hospitals which have signed the proposed by NZOK annexes for August and the next months.
