The Association of dairy processors in Bulgaria has announced it is expecting an increase in the prices of dairy products in October.

According to the Association's Deputy Head, Simeon Prisadashki, the price for the raw material has increased by 15% in September.

"The most important thing for people to understand is that there is no milk in Bulgaria. The situation is like this. There is no farming. In Europe, there is a shortage of raw material," Prisadashki said.

He refused to comment on how the increase of the price for raw material in September would affect the prices for the end users. He said, however, that the prices in his company will be increased from October.

"There was one increase of prices in September, based on the prices in August. Actually, the tendency for increasing of prices started in August," Prisadashki said.

According to the head of the Bulgarian Association of Agricultural Producers, Hristo Tsvetanov, the fruits and vegetables also increased by 10% in September. He believes that the reason is the reflux of the vegetables production.
