The shopping center in Bulgaria's capital Sofia known as The Mall achieved 100% lease of the store space, according to Colliers International, exclusive rent consultant.

The British fashion chain Next, one of the key tenants, opened Wednesday the doors of its first store in Bulgaria in The Mall. The other new brands on the Bulgarian marker are the Greek clothing company Pink Woman, and the Spanish lingerie chain Oysho, part of the Inditex group, already well-known in Bulgaria with its labels Zara, Bershka, Stradivarius, Pull & Bear, and Massimo Dutti.

The Colin's and Levi's stores opened in August while the opening of the Esprit store is scheduled for September. Another debut is expected in November when the Greek chain for books, multimedia and electronics, Public, will enter the Bulgarian market.

Also at the end of August, the Turkish B&G opened its first store in Bulgaria offering a variety of children clothing.

The shopping center known as 'The Mall' opened in Sofia on April 21, 2010.

The Mall is located at 115 Tsarigradsko Shose, one of the major Sofia boulevards. Its 66 000 square meters of commercial space make it the largest so far shopping center in the country.

The Mall features 185 stores of top Bulgarian and global brands, restaurants, a parking lot with 2 800 spaces, the first Carrefour hypermarket in Sofia, and an 'Arena' cinema complex. It created over 1 500 new jobs; 400 of these are at Carrefour, the largest retailer in Europe and the second largest in the world.
