Bulgaria's State Veterinary Public Health Control Directorate is planning to issue a ban on import of meat cutting that are intended for disposal.
The Head of the directorate, Yordan Voynov, has stated that the ban would be one of the measures for prevention of import of unqualified meat.

He has explained that since the cuttings come from a mixed batch, their following is very difficult.
In the meantime, the food company SAF Magellan Plc.,which was one of the most affected companies by the operation, has stated that it will turn for help to European institutions.
During the operation, about 194 tons of meat products were banned and a large part of them was SAF Nagellan's.
