British heavy metal legends Iron Maiden's 15th studio album “The Final Frontier” has landed at No.1 in the UK's official albums chart in the first week of its release.

Iron Maiden's latest album, released a week ago (August 16 worldwide, August 17 in the US), consists of 10 tracks spanning almost 80 minutes of epic metal and containing some of Maiden's most daring work.

In the UK, the British legends have three other No.1s – 1982's landmark “The Number of the Beast”, 1988's more experimental “Seventh Son of a Seventh Son”, as well as 1992's "Fear of the Dark", with all but one of their 15 studio albums having cracked the UK top ten.

2010's “The Final Frontier” debuted also at No.1 in Sweden and Finland, scoring a No.2 in Australia and the Netherlands, and a No.3 in Ireland.

In the next edition of the US's Billboard Top 200, Iron Maiden's latest album is expected to debut at a record No.3.
