The Swedish Prosecutor cancelled the arrest warrant for Wikileaks founder Julian Assange on two separate charges of rape and molestation, BBC reported Saturday.

The Swedish Prosecutor’s Office website announced Chief Prosecutor, Eva Finne, had come to the decision that Assange was not suspected of rape and not subject to arrest, but there would not be further immediate comment.

The warrant was issued late on Friday.

Last month, Wikileaks published more than 75,000 secret US military documents on the war in Afghanistan.

US authorities criticized the leak, saying it could put the lives of coalition soldiers and Afghans, especially informers, at risk.

Assange has recently announced Wikileaks plans to release a further 15,000 documents in the coming weeks.
