French football great Olympique de Marseille is considering making an offer to Bulgarian striker Dimitar Berbatov, who’s playing for Manchester United, reports France Football.

Olympique de Marseille coach Didier Deschamps is looking for a striker after selling Mamadu Niang to Turkish Fenerbahce. First choice for replacement is Sevilla’s Luis Fabiano, but his team is unwilling to part with him.

France Football reports that Deschamps’s “Plan B” is Berbatov, but also quote other sources saying that the second option is Ukrainian Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko
