Different parts of Bulgaria's Southern Black Sea coast, including both resort complexes and residential quarters, had restricted electricity supply overnight.

This occurred after Friday night electricity supply restrictions in the Burgas region were introduced as a result of the constant power outages caused by the excessive consumption in the crowded resorts, especially Sunny Beach.

The electricity supply restrictions have not been formally announced but the EVN power utility has made it clear that the state electricity company has ordered it to reduce the supply because of the collapsing power grid.

Large flocks of storks are also reported to have contributed to the power supply of Sunny Beach and the other resorts near Burgas because the storks often sit on the problematic power lines.

A huge flock of storks was noticed above the Sunny Beach resort Saturday morning.
