Three Turkish soldiers have been killed in a bomb attack carried out by the Kurdish Workers' Party PKK, the Anatolian Agency reported.

The attack was executed in Southeastern Turkey, in the Mardin Province bordering Syria. The bomb was set on a road between the towns of Nusaybin and Omerli, and was detonated remotely.

Two of the Turkish soldiers died immediately, and the third died later from his wounds. The Turkish army has responded with an operation to search for the attackers.

In late June 2010, eight Turkish soldiers were killed in the attack blamed on the outlawed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK), and 12 rebels were reportedly killed.
