Bulgaria Producer Prices Inflation Slows Down in June

Bulgaria's producer prices increased 8.4% in June on an annual base, down from 9.1% in the previous month, the national statistics office said.

Month-on-month, producer prices dropped 0.2%.

During the month, prices in mining and quarrying increased 18% annually and in manufacturing, prices climbed 12.2%. Production costs for electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning supply, however, were down 5.7%.

Prices involved in the manufacture of basic metals and metal products went up by 44.8%. Factory prices for the manufacture of food products dropped 1.8% year-on-year in June, while prices of manufacture of tobacco products increased 16.8%.

Prices for the manufacture of chemicals and chemical products recorded an increase of 7.8% year-on-year.
