Bulgaria and Romania will join efforts for the development of a project, considering all kinds of alternative tourism along the Danube coastline.

Katya Goranova, head of the Business center for helping small and medium enterprises in the Bulgarian city of Ruse, announced Friday that the project “TourNet – Promotion of Cross-border Tourist Product” will be executed under the program “CBC Romania – Bulgaria 2007-2013”.

The Business center for helping small and medium enterprises in Ruse will be the coordinator of the project and will co-operate with the district council of the Romanian city of Giurgiu, the Ruse association “Euroregiunea Danubius” and the College for Economic Sciences in Giurgiu.

The total cost of the project will be EUR 490 000.

The project will have a website in four languages, on which the organizers will present all opportunities for alternative tourism along the Danube coastline.

“The project for development of the region that Bulgaria presented to Brussels on the big Danube strategy is in the same direction – development of the alternative tourism and culture,” Goranova said.
