Bulgarian Financial Inspection Agency with New Head

Temenuzhka Popova will be the new Head of Bulgaria's Public Financial Inspection Agency (PFIA), effective August 1, 2010.
The information was reported Monday by the Finance Ministry's press center. The term of the current PFIA Director, Ginka Draganinska, expires now and she will be appointed Deputy Director. Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, congratulated Draganinska for her good work.
Popova, on her part has a 20-year career and experience in State finances control as auditor, and head of several departments.
PFIA is an administration under the minister of finance created in 2006 after a significant reform in the scope of Public Internal Financial control (PIFC). The main task of the Public Financial Inspection Agency is to protect public financial interest trough the implementation of financial inspections for the adherence to normative acts of all budget or accounting activity of organizations and persons involved in public finance.
