Bulgarian Girl Saves Kidnapped Father in Italy

A Bulgarian girl has saved her kidnapped father and has helped the Italian police arrest the kidnappers.

The Italian daily “Il quotidiano della Calabria” has reported that a 32-year-old Moroccan and a 28-year-old Macedonian man have been arrested by the police in the Italian city of Lesina.

The two have been charged with kidnapping and mob low.

According to the Italian daily, the 46-year-old Bulgarian has borrowed money from his Moroccan friend. After he returned part of the money, the Bulgarian has left for another Italian city, Calabria.

He Bulgarian has been pressured to give back the money, so he has decided to go back to Lesian and try to settle an agreement.

However, he has been caught, tied with a rope and taken to the fields. There he has been urged to call his daughter in Calabria and tell her to transfer EUR 600 to an agency in Lesina or otherwise he would be killed.

The daughter has informed the police and has committed a fictional transfer of money to the agency, pointed by the kidnappers. The Macedonian, who came to take out the money from the agency, has been arrested. Shortly after that, his associate has been arrested too.

The Italian daily has not stated the names or initials of the arrested.

Lesina is a 6 000-people municipality in the Italian province of Foggia, Apulia.
