Famous US DJ Wants to Become Bulgarian

The world famous electronic and dance music DJ and producer, Josh Gabriel, from the duo Gabriel & Dresden, said he wanted to receive a Bulgarian citizenship, the Bulgarian Darik Radio reported.

Gabriel's parents have left Bulgaria during World War II and now he claimed he wanted to go back to his roots. The first step towards this goal would be his concert in Bulgarian on July 23.

The initiative has been supported by the Agency for Bulgarians abroad and especially by the Minister without Portfolio, Bozhidar Dimitrov.

Gabriel was born in 1968 in Santa Monica, California. He is currently one of the most popular DJs and producers, and is a leading performer in all international electronic music events.

He has worked with Tiesto, Victor Calderone, Armin Van Buuren, John Digweed, James Holden, Nick Warren, Danny Howells, Sander Kleinberg, Anthony Pappa, Lee Buridge and Seb Fontaine.

Josh Gabriel is the part of one of the most impressive producers of electronic music nowadays, Gabriel & Dresden, who had 16 number one Billboard hits.
