Paraguay scored their first win in the 2010 FIFA World Cup, beating Slovakia 2-0 on Sunday.

Paraguay’s Enrique Vera scored the first goal in the 27th minute of the first halftime. Cristian Riveros wrapped up the game, scoring the second goal in the 86th minute.

Vladimir Weiss’s team played poorly, failing to exert any sustained pressure. The Latin Americans dominated over them with their short, sharp passing movements.

For the time being, Paraguay’s four points put them at the top of their Group F.
