Paraguay Draw 1:1 World Champion Italy in Group F Match

Paraguay and Italy ended the first game of Group F of the 2010 World Cup in a 1:1 draw.

In a rather equal match, Paraguay did not let the Germany 2006 world champions dominate the game at Green Point Stadium in Cape Town Monday night.

Paraguay's Antolin Alcaraz scored for 1:0 in the 39th minute, and the Italians managed to equalize only in the 63rd minute when Daniel de Rossi took advantage of a blunder of Paraguayan goalkeeper Justo Villar.

New Zealand and Slovakia are facing one another in the second game of round 1 in Group F on Tuesday.
