2 Bulgarians Busted in Hungary for Heroin Smuggling

Two Bulgarian nationals have been arrested in Hungary for the smuggling of heroin valued at EUR 3,5 M.

The illegal drugs have been found in the trunk of a car, which had Bulgarian license plates, during a checkup on the Hungarian – Romanian border.

The border police suspicions have been triggered by the spare tire, which looked too large. They found inside the tire 134 packages or over 70 kg of heroin.

The Bulgarian Foreign Ministry informs they have no official information about Bulgarians being detained in Hungary.
