Notorious Bulgarian “businessman” Krasimir Georgiev aka “Krasio The Black” appeared Thursday for questioning before the Supreme Judicial Council (VSS).

He is to tell the magistrates about his connections with high-ranking employees of the judicial system and in particular with now former VSS member Stoyko Stoev, who was the first to resign when the scandal broke full force last fall.

Stoikov is also said to be in attendance.

When asked by journalists if he really knows as many magistrates as it has been reported, Georgiev stated he knows many people, adding he had come voluntarily and will cooperate so that the truth is finally revealed.

Krasio, however, declined answering more questions with the motive he had been charged with perjury and had been advised by his attorney to keep silent.

On Wednesday, the Sofia City Prosecutor's Office pressed Tuesday official charges against Georgiev.

Krasimir Georgiev, from northern city of Pleven, allegedly offered magistrates to secure their high-ranking positions in exchange for cash. Several judges and magistrates, including Supreme ones, have been dismissed or resigned in the aftermath of the scandal over proven contacts with Georgiev.
