Bulgaria's Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov (second-left), is in the Black Sea city of Burgas Thursday to meet with employees of the Customs and the National Revenue Agencies (NRA).

Bulgaria's Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov, forecasts a 1% economic growth for 2010.

Djankov made the statement Thursday in the Black Sea city of Burgas where he met with employees of the Customs and the National Revenue Agencies (NRA).

The Minister praised Burgas' customs and revenue agents for increasing collection of revenues each month since March, saying if the collection rates were the same all over the country, then the economic forecast for 1% growth will become reality.

It is expected that the Burgas Customs only will contribute to the State budget BGN 200 M in May or BGN 40 M more than April, according to its Head, Valeri Stefanov.

Stefanov points out that the increased revenues' collection is due to stronger control, but also to the increased value of the USD.
