Rock Giants AC/ DC Stage Show in Sofia

Australian rock legends AC/ DC will perform Friday at the Vasil Levski National Stadium in the Bulgarian capital Sofia.

This will be the opening concert of the band's European tour that will include 17 more gigs in different European cities.

The Sofia concert, which is the first ever that AC/DC have staged in Bulgaria, will start at 9 pm (local time) and will include 18 of the all-time hits of the rock music legislators.

A special 75-meter stage has been specially constructed for the event in just one week.

The Australian musicians will arrive in the Bulgarian capital with a 'convoy' of 10 trucks with music equipment, 10 sleeping buses, a crew of 100 people and 600 bodyguards.

Security in the area surrounding the Vasil Levski National Stadium is expected to be tight.

Police have already cut off traffic down the Sofia central Evlogi Gorgiev Blvd. The area between the Dragan Tsankov Blvd and Orlov Most (Eagles' Bridge) will also be closed for traffic from 8 am till 12 pm.

There will be no public transportation in these areas either.
