Top European Logistics Firm Secures Space at Sofia Airport Center

Cargo-partner EOOD, has signed a 5.5-year lease for office and warehouse space in the Logistics Center of the new Sofia Airport Center (SAC), located at 64 Christopher Columbus Boulevard in Bulgaria’s capital.

The news was reported Monday by the developer - Tishman International Companies, a leading international commercial real estate development and management company, and GE Real Estate Central & Eastern Europe.

Cargo-partner is a global logistics firm with a large presence in Central and Eastern Europe They will occupy approximately 1250 square meters of office and warehouse space in Logistics Building B.03 of SAC.

Tenants are attracted by its convenient location and proximity to Sofia International Airport along with superior quality construction, 24-hour security, snow removal and pest control services provided by Tishman’s on-site property management.

“SAC is attracting tremendous interest from leading global tenants because of its flexible design, which allows us to accommodate the specific requirements of sophisticated tenants like cargo-partner,” Tishman International Chairman Alan D. Levy is quoted saying.

The construction of all three Logistic Center buildings, two of which have warehouse space, is now complete. Two buildings are also are fully rented.

Adjacent to the Logistics Center is the SAC Office Center where the first building, a Class A, 17,300 square meters office tower, is slated for completion in June of this year. The Office Center is Bulgaria’s first LEED-certified “green” commercial building, and is expected to achieve LEED “silver” status. The only other LEED-certified building in Bulgaria is the US Embassy in Sofia.
