Bulgaria's Topalov Draws Anand in 7th Game of Chess Title Match

World champion Viswanathan Anand and his Bulgarian opponent Veselin Topalov drew the seventh game of the World Chess Title Match in Sofia Monday.

This is the third consecutive game of the match that ends in a draw, and the fourth overall as Anand and Topalov drew the second, fifth and sixth matches so far.

Thus, Anand has remained in the lead of the World Chess Title Match in Sofia with 4:3 points.

For a third time during the match the Indian chess master played Catalan as he was with the white pieces.

Anand and Topalov will play a total of 12 games, and if there is still no winner, there will be four more games in a rapid tiebreak.

With five more games to go, on Tuesday Bulgaria’s Topalov will be playing with the white pieces.
