Digital TV technology provider Advanced Digital Broadcast (ADB) has won a contract from Bulgarian cable TV operators CableTel-Eurocom, the company announced.

It includes home networking functionalities and will come with a number of advanced applications including over-the-top video, VOD, media player and USB time-shift.

They will be made available over time through simple over-the-air upgrades of installed devices, thereby giving a longer lifetime to the entire solution, which will run on the ADB-2480C set-top box.

Commenting on the deal, ADB’s CEO François Pogodalla said: “This new agreement marks ADB’s entry into Bulgaria and our continued success in delivering hybrid solutions in Eastern Europe. The platform chosen by CableTel-Eurocom combines content from both traditional broadcast and broadband networks with advanced interactive services.“

ADB is headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland, with its main Research and Development facility in Zielona Gora, Poland and Operations division in Taipei, Taiwan. It has local representation in Australia, India, Italy, Singapore, Spain, Ukraine, the US and UK.
