Bulgaria’s southern neighbor Greece is celebrating Thursday its national holiday, Eikosti-pempti Martiou, i.e. “March 25.”

On March 25, Greece celebrates a dual holiday – Independence Day, an anniversary of the declaration of the start of Greek War of Independence from the Ottoman Empire, in 1821, and the Annunciation – the day when the birth of Jesus Christ was announced to the Virgin Mary.

“I believe that the good relations between Bulgaria and Greece will continue their progressive improvement in the future in the interests of the two nations and the region as a whole,” Bulgaria’s Prime Minister Boyko Borisov said in his telegram to his Greek counterpart George Papandreau.

Novinite.com (Sofia News Agency) congratulates its Greek readers on the occasion of March 25!

We would like to use this occasion to invite our readers from Bulgaria, Greece, and around the world to expect in the coming weeks the publication of our “Greek Survey” (“International Survey: Bulgaria-Greece”) which will feature a number of interviews and articles on Greek businesses operating as well as on the relations between the two nations.

We need your support so Novinite.com can keep delivering news and information about Bulgaria! Thank you!
