Civic organizations will be included in the monitoring and control of road repairs in the Bulgarian capital, the Sofia Deputy Mayor for Transport, Lyubomir Hristov, informs.

Hristov spoke Wednesday after meeting with the organizers of the 2 recent protest rallies held in Sofia against the numerous potholes. The talks with the “Youth Internet Media,” the Bulgarian Automobile Union and the Civic Initiative against Potholes were initiated by the City Hall.

Hristov further informed the Sofia Mayor, Yordanka Fandakova, had already signed an order which regulates the participation of the civic organizations in the control of the street repairs – from signals about potholes through the actual work and the follow-up control by altering the City Hall of any irregularities and violations.
