Italy’s Juventus has not made any formal requests to hire Manchester City’s Bulgarian midfielder, Martin Petrov, his agent Franco Moretti announced.

Petrov’s contract with Manchester City expires in May, and no talks has been started of its renewal. On Tuesday, Italian media reported that Juventus are interested in attracting the Bulgarian footballer.

“Nothing has been decided about Petrov’s future. It is possible that his contact with City might be renewed,” Moretti told cociomercato.it.

Another club which is said to be interested in buying Petrov is the English Everton. According to Moretti, the future of the Bulgarian player will be decided within a couple of weeks.

Petrov has recently suffered a knee injury, and is expected to be back on the field by the end of March.
