A Mexican TV station has hired legendary Bulgarian footballer and coach Hristo Stoichkov as commentator for the World Cup in South Africa.

The name of the Mexican TV company which has hired Stoichkov to analyze for it the matches at the 2010 World Cup and the amount of money he will get paid for that have not been revealed.

Stoichkov has said that even if his contract with Mamelodi Sundowns, the South African team he coaches, does not get extended after its expiration on May 30, he would still remain in South Africa during the World Cup, kickoff.com reported.

Stoichkov has made clear his desire to continue coaching Mamelodi Sundowns but also says he is not concerned about his future because he had many other job offers.

Stoichkov is a former player of CSKA Sofia, Barcelona FC (Spain), and Parma (Italy). In 1994, he led the Bulgarian National Football Team to a bronze medal in the World Cup.
