EU foreign minister Catherine Ashton and Humanitarian Aid Commissioner, Bulgaria’s Kristalina Georgieva, will visit quake-devastated Haiti on March 3-4.
A spokesperson of the EC announced Friday that Ashton and Georgieva will have meetings with the President, Prime Minister, and Economy Minister of Haiti in order to discuss EU’s contribution for the recovery of the country.
The EU has pledged EUR 609 M in total for Haiti relief; EUR 309 M of those are for humanitarian aid.
