Russia Rules out Joining Current NATO Structure
World | February 23, 2010, Tuesday // 14:17| viewsRussia’s Permanent Representative at NATO, Dmitry Rogozin, has stated there was no way his country could join the Alliance in its current form.
Commenting an earlier statement of US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton that NATO and Russia should be close partners, Rogozin declared Tuesday that NATO was presently under the monopoly of the USA.
“If NATO is not reformed and continues to develop as a system for global American dominance there is no way Russia can join such a Washington-centered system,” Rogozin stated as quoted by Interfax.
