EC Grants Positive Assessment to Bulgaria for 2 More EU Programs

Bulgaria has received a positive assessment from the European Commission on yet one more EU program - "Administrative Capacity," Finance Minister, Simeon Djankov informs Thursday.

The funds that now can be used by the country through the program are estimated at EUR 132 M.

Meanwhile, Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, who is Brussels announced that the “Environment” program has also received a green light from the EC. The funds for Bulgaria from this program are EUR 1,8 B.

On Wednesday, Brussels approved the use of funds from the "Transport" and "Competitiveness" programs, while it was announced a day earlier that positive assessment has been received for “Regional Development” and “Technical Assistance.”

The assessment for the last program - "Human Resources" is expected by mid-month.
