Farmers Renew Full Blockade of Bulgaria-Greece Border Checkoint

The major crossing point on the Bulgaria-Greece border Kulata-Promahonas has been fully blockaded by protesting Greek farmers as of early Thursday morning.

The protesters do not let even cars and buses even though for the most part of the blockade they did not allow only trucks. A line of 260 vehicles has formed on the Bulgarian side of the border.

The other three crossing points work normally as the protests of the Greek farmers in the respective northern districts have been terminated.

There has been no indication on part of the Greek side as to when the Kulata border crossing point might be reopened.

Greek farmers demanding higher agricultural prices have been protesting for almost four weeks largely disrupting the commercial land traffic between the two countries.
