Protesting Greek farmers started to let through trucks waiting on both sides of the Bulgaria-Greece border at the Kulata-Promahonas border crossing point.

The Greek farmers, who have been protesting for almost four weeks with demands for higher agricultural prices, started to ease up the blockade at 11 am Tuesday.

They have decided to let through 100 trucks from each of the two long lines waiting on both sides of the Bulgaria-Greece border.

The line on the Bulgarian side was about 170 trucks, the Bulgarian border police have announced.

The other three border crossing points between Bulgaria and Greece operate normally.
