The member of the leadership of Bulgaria's conservative Order, Law and Justice (RZS) party, Dimitar Abadzhiev, is withdrawing from political activities.

The news was announced by the RZS press center saying they have accepted the resignation Wednesday, adding the “conservative” door is wide-open for Abadzhiev if he decides to come back one day.

“A person with such political experience and professional knowledge is always welcome and will always be useful,” the declaration reads.

RZS further say, Abadzhiev had notified them about his intentions a month ago.

Abadzhiev, himself, points out his decision is based on life and professional priorities and because he became involved with politics only to help RZS become a part of the European Conservative project. He explains that currently he does not feel needed and beneficial because he failed to succeed in his run for Member of the European Parliament.

The RZS leader further states that the fact his party did not send even one MEP is his own responsibility since he has been on the top of the ticket.

Abadzhiev is the second RZS member to leave the party recently. The first one, Mario Tagarinski, unlike his follower, quit with a scandal.

Mario Tagarinski's withdrawal took the RZS parliamentary group below the ten-member minimum and stripped it of its official status.

The party leader, Yane Yanev, was quick to blame the Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, for the falling apart of the parliamentary group and announced he will keep his promise to give the new government a six-month “grace period”, which expired on January 27.
