Bulgaria Former FM: Kristalina was Honest and Well Prepared

Bulgaria's EC Designate Kristalina Georgieva adopted a calm, honest and open approach during her confirmation hearing at the European Parliament and this is what won the hearts of its members.

The comment was made by Bulgaria's former Foreign Minister Solomon Passy minutes after the country's EC Designate Kristalina Georgieva ended her spectacular performance at the European Parliament, interrupted frequently by applauses.

According to Passy the hearing proved that there are Bulgarians worthy of being nominated for European Commissioner and advised the deputies at the Bulgarian Parliament to learn from their colleagues in Brussels.

Commenting the admissions of poor coordination in humanitarian aid that MEPs made, Passy said:

“The European Union member states should unify their own approaches, unite their efforts and create a common structure.”
