Bulgaria Bodyguards to Celebrate Professional Holiday

Bulgaria's cabinet is going to declare November 11 the official professional day of the Bodyguard and the Private Bodyguard Services, according to the government press center.

The proposal will be submitted Wednesday to the Council of Ministers by Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov, and will be voted that same day.

The idea for such official day was launched as early as March 2009 by the National Association of Companies Providing Bodyguard Services. The date, November 11, is also the day when the Patron of the Family, St. Mina is celebrated.

Bulgaria now has about 1 150 security companies with 60 000 employees.
