Kolio Paramov, who resigned Monday after 1 week in his post as economic advisor to Bulgaria PM Boyko Borisov, has hit back at his Rightist critics.

Paramov picked out Ex PM and current rightist Blue Coalition Co-Chair, Ivan Kostov, for particular criticism. He stated that Kostov was showing double standards and that it is about time for the full truth about Kostov to be told.

Paramov continued that he had gone to school in the Ukraine as did Kostov during communist times and that he had also helped prepare Kostov to become Bulgaria PM, BNT reported.

Meanwhile, Paramov said that he would continue to work with Borisov in some way, agreeing with comments Bulgaria’s PM made on Monday. He also added that he believed the current situation in the Bulgarian economy is very serious with the “GDP as a matrix not being calculated accurately and therefore the government statistics do not work.”

Paramov concluded by predicting a second financial crisis in the summer if urgent steps are not taken.

On Monday rightist Blue Coalition Co-Chair Martin Dimitrov said his party caused the demise of Paramov; “Such a specialist on hyperinflation has no place in the government, and I hope that the PM is going to look for new advisors from among the right-wing economists.”

Paramov, who has been a Member of the Parliament from the opposition Bulgarian Socialist Party and was exposed as an agent of the Communist State Security, was hired by Borisov on January 25th, the PM himself confirmed over the weekend.
