There is a European arrest warrant on Bulgaria’s alleged top criminal Nikolay Marinov aka the Little Marguin.

The information was reported Wednesday by Interior Minister, Tsvetan Tsvetanov.

The whereabouts of the Little Marguin are unknown and he went into hiding after the police arrested and charged his brother Krasimir aka the Big Marguin in connection with the murder of controversial Bulgarian radio host, Bobi Tsankov.

Tsankov was gunned down in broad daylight in downtown Sofia on January 5. The Prosecutor says the Marguin brothers ordered his assassination because the journalist was going to provide a strong witness against them.

When asked if the tire fire that was set overnight in Sofia in front of the apartment of lawyer Mariana Todorova, who is known to work with the Marguins, was witness intimidation, Tsvetanov declined comments. He just said the police don’t yet have a suspect.

The Minister also informed the Interior is working on establishing accomplices to the kidnapping gang, code-named “The Impudent”, among police employees. Tsvetanov recently stated about five mid-level management employees of the Interior are suspects in having ties with the abductors.
