Sofia Airport Flight Information Now Available by Text Message

The Bulgarian Transport Ministry has announced that anyone looking for current information about a specific flight or a flight schedule to and from Sofia Airport can now receive the information by text message.

12211 is the number to which messages can be sent from all mobile telephone operators, with either a specific flight number to check its status or with the name of the city to or from which a flight is departing or arriving from or to Sofia Airport to check the schedule.

For the flight schedule option the client will receive a message with all flights to or from that destination on the day the message is sent. The city’s name can be written in English or Bulgarian.

If the client adds the number 1 or letter D before or after the name of the city they will receive information for departing aircrafts to this destination. If they add the number 2 or the letter A, they will receive information on flights arriving to Sofia from the specified city.
