Bulgaria’s PM Boyko Borisov announced Wednesday that his adviser, INSEAD Professor Ilian Mihov, is going to be appointed as a new Deputy PM with economic responsibilities.
Mihov has earned his Bachelor’s degree in business administration from the University of South Carolina in 1992, a Master’s in Economics from Princeton University in 1994, and a Ph.D. in Economics from Princeton in 1996.
Since 1996, he has been part of the faculty of INSEAD – a leading international business school with campuses in Paris, Singapore, and Abu Dhabi. He is currently an Associate Professor of Economics at INSEAD.
Mihov has received the school’s Best Teacher Award 2006, 2008, MBA Program Core Courses (Singapore), and the Excellence in Refereeing Award, American Economic Review, 2008.
His research interests are macroeconomics, monetary economics, econometrics, international economics.
