Bulgarian National Television (BNT) has announced online that singer Miro (Miroslav Kostadinov), will perform five songs shortlisted for the country’s Eurovision entry, live on air.

The television program will be broadcast from the National Palace of Culture (NDK) on February 7, from 20:45. Following the transmission, the same songs will be broadcast on both radio and TV for the following three weeks, allowing the Bulgarian public to become familiar with them, and to choose their favorite.

The final selection of Bulgaria's official entry for Eurovision 2010 will again be broadcast live from NDK, on February 28. The final selection will be made by the public by SMS voting and phone calls.

Miro will then represent Bulgaria at the Eurovision Song Contest in Oslo, Norway, in May.

Back in the mid 1990s, Miro received several "Young Performer" awards at Bulgarian festivals. He became famous after 1999 as part of the "KariZma" Duo in which he performed together with Galya (Galina Kurdova).

In 2008, Miro released his hit song "I Lose Control When...", and his solo album "Omirotvoren" (Pacified" – a pun on his Bulgarian name).
