Bulgaria's Prime Minister, Boyko Borisov, visited Tuesday the temporary Palestine capital Ramallah to meet with Palestinian PM Salam Fayyad, and President Mahmoud Abbas.

The West Bank visit is part of the Bulgarian official delegation's trip to Israel Monday and Tuesday.

Borisov also paid respects at the grave of Palestinian leader Yasser Arafat.

"I am elated that in both Israel and Palestine the key word has been peace," the PM said after the conclusion of his meeting with his Palestinian counterpart.

Borisov pointed out that the Palestinian leaders have asked him to convey a message of peace to high-ranking figures in the European Union.

During the meetings, possibilities for collaboration in various sectors have been discussed, including Bulgaria's assistance in security matters and in building infrastructure in Palestine.

Borisov further explained that Palestinian companies are expected to participate in the May business forum in Bulgaria, while Bulgarian businesses should take a more serious look at opportunities in the West Bank.

PM Fayyad also vowed to work on deepening political and business ties with Bulgaria, adding the main focus should be on economy, tourism, youth and education.

Borisov had invited his counterpart to visit Bulgaria in 2010.
